Mulberry Town Council Passes New Ordinance Regarding Nuisance Dog Barking

At the Mulberry Town Council’s May meeting an ordinance regarding barking dogs was passed.  The ordinance is designed to protect Mulberry’s citizens from listening to nuisance barking from neighbors’ dogs.  A summary of the ordinance:

1)       1)    It defines nuisance barking as 10 minutes of continual barking, 20 minutes of intermittent barking or barking for any duration of time between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.

2)         2)   Upon a police officer’s personal observation or upon a complaint by any person disturbed by a barking dog, a Mulberry police may give an oral warning to the dog’s owner that the annoyance must cease.

3)           3)  If the barking continues after the warning, the offending dog’s owner will be in violation of the barking ordinance.  Fines for violations will be $50 for the first, $100 for the second and $500 for each subsequent violation.

For further information about this ordinance, or to report a nuisance dog, contact the Mulberry Town Marshal’s office at 296-2440.

Historical Markers around Mulberry

clock March 5, 2009 17:57 by author Jon

I received a very informative word document from Dania Remaly, detailing all of the Marker Stones that represent historical sites around the town of Mulberry. I have converted the document to a form of a flash .pdf document, so you can view it on the fly, within the www.mulberryindiana.com website. This will save you the lengthy time of downloading it, and if you have other things to do it automatically saves your place. You can do anything with this document that you would have been able to do if you downloaded it, including making it full screen for viewing, and you can email it, and print it directly from www.mulberryindiana.com

Take the time and give it a read, and I'm sure you'll be happy that you did.
